Manhattan, Montana · Est. 2011
Small-batch craft beer, a big taproom, and a patio made for long Montana evenings, right on Main Street.
Our Story
406 Brewing started in 2011 in Bozeman's Cannery District, where Matt Muth, a lifelong homebrewer turned brewer, poured beer for a crowd of regulars who became family. When the brewery outgrew that space, the brothers went looking for a new home and fell for Manhattan: its character, its people, and its brewing history.
Manhattan was one of the great brewing towns in the U.S. until Prohibition shut it down. Today brothers Matt and John Muth are bringing that tradition back on Main Street, with a larger brewhouse, a roomy taproom and lounge, and a big patio.
[Personal note from Matt & John TBD: favorite beer, how the brothers split the work, a fun story]
Local malt, recycled yeast, and spent grain sent to local farmers. We brew with Montana in mind.
